Catechesis is a primary ministry of the Church. Falling under the umbrella of Evangelization, the goal of Catechesis is communion with the living, risen person of Jesus Christ through the systematic presentation of Catholic doctrine. This is a life-long process that begins in the earliest stages of childhood development and only concludes at the end of our earthly life.

SJN offers of full range of opportunities for catechesis for all ages. The Children’s Religious Formation Program offers faith formation for children in kindergarten through 8th grade on Tuesdays 5:30pm to 7pm, Wednesdays 6:45pm to 8:15pm, and during a summertime 2-week, full day program. Highschool Catechesis is offered every Sunday evening .  College and Young Adult Catechesis is offered on Tuesdays 7pm to 9pm in the Neumann House.  There are also numerous and varied opportunities for Adult Catechesis through programs such as the Bible Timeline, That Man Is You, Women’s ministries, Women at the Well, the RCIA, parish missions and retreats, etc.  Please click on the links below for up-to-date offerings in Catechesis and to learn more.
