Adult Faith Formation

General Statement:

The goal of the Adult Faith Formation Program at Saint John Neumann is to conform persons to Christ, which is to bring all those involved in the various dimensions of Adult Faith Formation Program to a mature understanding and experience of Christ as the center and well-spring of God’s eternal plan for them and for the whole of creation. This task is approached through advanced study and exploration of the meaning of Christ’s words, actions, and signs. In this respect, the aim of adult catechesis is more than intellectual assent to doctrinal principles. It is to help persons to grow in communion with Jesus Christ - through Whom they may enter into and enjoy a share of the life and love of the Holy Trinity.

College-Age Ministry

(Adults Ages 18 – 28)

Living as authentic Catholics is difficult to do in our colleges, our homes and online. St. John Neumann College-Age Ministry is an opportunity for young adults to become involved in the parish and learn about their faith with peers. Come discuss and pray about every day pressures of society to conform our faith and our actions to today’s popular ways of thinking and acting.

Our first meeting will be held on OCTOBER 17th.  We plan to meet on Tuesday’s evenings from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Neumann House.

Please feel free to stop by!

In this study we will:
•   Read 14 narrative books of the Bible and discover the amazing story woven throughout Scripture
•   Learn how the key people, places, and events in the Bible fit together to reveal God’s plan for humanity
•   Study the Bible from a Catholic perspective and see how our faith is rooted in Sacred Scripture
•   See how the events in the Old Testament are fulfilled in the New Testament by Christ and the Church
•   Gain a greater appreciation for the Scripture readings you hear during Mass
•   See how God reveals himself to us through Scripture and learn how God's Word applies to your life today
•   Develop a life-long hunger for knowing God in his word and lay a strong foundation for further Bible reading and study

This study will meet on Thursdays evenings from 7:30 to 9pm beginning October 12th and will end in the spring.

There will be 24 sessions as we read through the narrative books of the Bible.
