Prayer Wall

Welcome to the SJN Prayer Wall!

It is a consoling and powerful truth of our faith that we can intercede for one another as brothers and sisters in Christ. Some “Prayer-Warriors” fast or make other sacrifices to as intercessory prayer for others. St. John Neumann Parish has a Perpetual Adoration Chapel, Prayer Network Ministry, Prayer Request column in the bulletin, and Prayers of the Faithful at Mass, which provide opportunities for communal intercessory prayer. The mission of this Prayer Wall is the same. Through e-mail the Prayer Wall provides another way for your prayer to be joined to the prayer of the Church, while at the same time allowing us to lift up one another’s’ intentions in prayer. You may request prayers for yourself and people dear to you, or for wider needs in the community or world.. We also welcome Thanksgiving Prayer requests, as these edify the Body of Christ and evidence the power of the Church’s prayer: “Whatever you ask in my name I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (Jn. 14:13).

We ask that you limit your request to no more than 200 words. Comments are not allowed, only requests for prayers. We will keep the requests confidential; however, we encourage you to provide a name or two. For example: “Pray for my children . . . . Requested by Marta,” or “Pray for my father John . . . Anonymous Request.” With a person’s name, group name or event name, the Community prayer becomes personal, yet remains confidential.

To send your request, click on the button below or send an e-mail to sjnprayerwall@saintjohnneumann.org.Your request will be submitted to an administrator for posting, then the request will appear on the wall and be displayed for a month. We reserve the right to edit the request, and if it cannot be posted for its content, we will inform the requestor.

We want to thank you for building up the Body of Christ through your prayers offered for each other! God bless you !

Let us pray for these requests:

Please pray for my 2 teenager sons Benedict and Raymond, who had a fight since Dec. 2014. They were so close to each other until the day they had this fight regarding electronic gadgets. They don’t talk anymore since then. Last March 10, Raymond was irritated by the electric guitar Benedict was playing while he was studying. Raymond was not able to control his temper and punched Benedict on the face. Benedict got out of the house feeling so bad about the incident. My husband and I were not around at that time. Please help us pray for them, to open their mind and forgive each other. Soften their hearts to understand one another and heal the wound they have done to each other. Please help us pray for them to reconcile and make our family of 5 be happy again. It hurts to see your sons not in good terms to one another. Our eldest son is autistic (functional) and he do not understand why his 2 younger brothers are not that close anymore.

Please pray for the "M" family, that the dying 40 year old father will be reconciled with his wife and 3 young children before he dies.

If possible, before his mind goes completely so that he can recognize them, and so that the kids will have a good memory of him as they grow up.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, cover them with your mantle, hold them in your maternal embrace.

Thank you for your prayers.

Hello, my name is Sharnice Cyprien and I am in need of an overflow of blessings and miracles. I would like prayer God sets me free from all my obstacles and strongholds because they are holding me back from what I want to do, who I want to become and where I want to go.  I constantly have knots in my stomach which cause me so much pain and is a very serious problem and I do not know why. I can never or it is extremely difficult to finish anything I start. I procrastinate and have grown lazy; I lack motivation, ambition, will power and self control  towards anything positive with in the will of God. I do not want or need to be this way.  I can not seem to get my life in order and it is out of control. This entire situation has gotten out of control; no one can seem to give me answers or the help I need. I would like prayer for a miracle that these issues go away and never ever return.

I am asking the church to provide the strength of prayer for my co-workers son who suffers from AVM. An AVM (arteriovenous malformation) is a congenital disorder (one present at birth) of blood vessels characterized by a complex, tangled web of abnormal arteries and veins connected by one or more fistulas (abnormal communications). It developed in his face, and discovered when he was just 10 years old. He is now 20, and is now suffering from severe migraines that the doctors are not able to figure out why he is having these migraines that keep him up all night, and unable to function. He has overcome so much with the numerous face surgeries, and including drug addiction. Please, please pray that he receives answers, and relief. Also, pray that his family can stay strong to help him be strong at this difficult time. With God and prayer all things are possible.

Heavenly Father

I call on you right now in a special way.

It is through your power that (X) was created.

Every breath he/she takes,

every morning he/she wakes,

and every moment of every hour,

he/she lives under your power.

Father, we ask you now to touch (X) with that same power.

For if you created him/her from nothing,

you can certainly recreate him/her.

Fill him/her with the healing power of your spirit.

Cast out anything that should not be in him/her.

Mend what is broken.

Root out any unproductive cells.

Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild any damaged areas.

Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection.

Let warmth of your healing love pass through (X) body

to make new any unhealthy areas

so that his/her body will function the way you created it to function.

And Father, restore (X) to full health

in mind and body so that he/she may serve you the rest of his/her life.

I ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Prayer For Families

We bless your name, O Lord,
for sending your own incarnate Son,
to become part of a family,
so that, as he lived its life,
he would experience its worries and its joys.

We ask  you, Lord,
to protect and watch over this family,
so that in the strength of your grace
its members may enjoy prosperity,
possess the priceless gift of your peace,
and, as the Church alive in the home,
bear witness in this world to your glory.

We ask this thought Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Prayer to Saint Peregrine

O great St. Peregrine,

you have been called "The Mighty,"

"The Wonder-Worker,"

because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God

for those who have had recourse to you.

For so many years you bore in your own flesh

this cancerous disease that destroys the very fibre of our being,

and who had recourse to the source of all grace

when the power of man could do no more.

You were favoured with the vision of Jesus

coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction.

Ask of God and Our Lady,

the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you.

(Pause here and silently recall the names of the sick

for whom you are praying)

Aided in this way by your powerful intercession,

we shall sing to God,

now and for all eternity,

a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy.

Amen.
