Coming to church but not registered at St. John Neumann?
Registration is the official way of joining our parish family. Many people think that since they come to Mass they are automatically registered. Everyone is of course welcome in the Lord’s house, but membership requires formally enrolling you and your family in the parish. Registration is much more than a formal procedure. It is a commitment to our community and a way to be included in the religious, social and ministerial activities of our parish and the community we serve. Your registration affects our parish in many ways. Census numbers determine how many priests are assigned to a church, what benefits and obligations the parish has to the Archdiocese, and how Masses, confessions and devotions are planned and scheduled. Registration is also necessary for certain matters, like scheduling Sacraments, obtaining sponsor certificates, getting donation statements for taxes, and having the possibility of participating in parish raffles. Registering at St. John Neumann is a statement of faith in the Lord and confidence in the life and ministry of our parish. Registration forms are always located at the church entrance, at the parish office or on our website.
