THE ST. JOHN NEUMANN 50+ CLUB is made up of individuals who are 50 years of age or older. The Pastor and other clergy are ex-officio members. The club seeks to promote the spiritual well-being, fellowship, recreational activities, and charitable works of and by its members. Programs are varied and theme-oriented and include occasional field trips. The club does not meet in July and August.
GRILLERS play an integral role in our parish social life. You see us doing such things as preparing the kitchen, cooking, waiting tables, and cleaning up for the parish Spaghetti Dinner, Parish Picnic, and other similar parish functions. We take satisfaction in working very hard a few times a year to make these gatherings very pleasant and fun for the whole parish community.
KNGHTS OF COLUMBUS, OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE COUNCIL NO. 12127 Membership is open to men who are practicing Catholics and are at least 18 years of age. A practicing Catholic is one who lives according to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church. This includes coming to Mass each week, and if married, their marriage must be recognized by the church. The Knights live out their founding ideals of being in solidarity with the Pope and the Church's teachings, and serving their families, parish, and community by such things as supporting religious vocations and parish pro-life activities, raising money for the mentally handicapped through their Tootsie Roll drive, organizing a spring Yard Sale, and playing an integral role in the annual parish picnic.
The KofC also helps members obtain economic security and stability for their families through its life insurance, annuity and long-term care programs.
Meetings are twice a month.
MEN'S FELLOWSHIP Spiritual fellowship meetings for the men of the parish are held the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. Each meeting is centered on a sequential topic from the book, "Signposts: How to be a Catholic Man in the World Today", by Tim Sullivan & Bill Blawden, 1999. The authors are Deacons from Oklahoma.
Men should feel free to attend as they wish and are able. Refreshments are served. Email reminders are sent about the next month's meetings. Come, be built up and edified as men living out our Catholic faith.
READING CLUB meets approximately once every two months on a Friday evening from 7:30 - 9:00 for an engaging discussion about a book relevant to our faith. Selections typically include books on spirituality, witness, sociology, fiction, science, and books related to or authored by the Pope. Advance notice of the next selection is included in the bulletin. If a particular book interests you, feel free to join us!
