"I hope that the first fruit of this Congress results in the establishment of perpetual Eucharistic adoration in all parishes and Christian communities throughout the world."
Pope John Paul II - 45th International Eucharist Congress

The singularly Catholic doctrine of the Real Presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament is the guiding principle that makes Eucharistic Adoration a devotion of exceptional spirituality.

Saint John Neumann is currently the only parish in Montgomery County to have Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration. Adoration continues (except during the Easter Triduum) on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis in the Adoration Chapel, except on First Fridays when adoration is in the main church.

Many of the saints have extolled the blessing and importance of time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament:

  • St. Padre Pio--a thousand years of enjoying human glory is not worth even an hour spent sweetly communing with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
  • St. Thomas Aquinas said he learned more in one hour of Adoration that all the Books and professors of his whole life.
  • St. Faustina--when one comes before Him in the Blessed Sacrament, all in the world are blessed.
