Evangelization:
We commit ourselves to embracing and proclaiming by Word and action the Gospel values of Jesus Christ and invite all to participate in the Catholic faith.
  • To create in us an enthusiasm for our Catholic Faith
  • To Communicate the Gospel message to others by Word and Example
  • To create a welcoming and inviting environment within our parish community.

    Parish Life and Worship:
    We commit ourselves to foster a welcoming, active and participative worshipping parish community.

  • To promote active, conscious participation in the Liturgy
  • To achieve a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and foster participation in parish life
  • To promote greater appreciation and understanding of the Eucharist as the source and summit of our Christian life
  • To increase enthusiastic participation in the other Sacraments
  • To foster greater respect for religious vocations and provide an environment that nurtures choices for these vocations
  • To promote respectful dialogue between St. John Neumann parishioners, other Christian traditions and those of other faiths.

  • Religious Formation:
    We commit ourselves to coordinate and provide instruction in the Faith by trained catechists according to one's age, ability and experience.
  • To provide ongoing effective Sacramental preparation programs
  • To ensure Catechist certification
  • To provide regular catechists to people of all ages
  • To provide a unified catechetical program
  • To increase participation in parish life through Catechetical opportunities

    Teens in Leadership:
    We commit ourselves to continue to grow in Christ and to continue to learn, understand and appreciate God's Word in Scripture. To have a strong presence at Saint John Neumann Catholic Parish and be a group that the Church can depend upon.

  • To facilitate youth spiritual development
  • To serve the parish and community youth as a valued, dependable resource of the parish
  • To create an environment that invites youth participation

    Social Concerns:
    We commit ourselves to promote a deeper understanding of catholic Social teaching to help parishioners grow in their ability to be salt and light to the larger community and to give all members more opportunities to participate in reaching out to the poor and under-served.

  • To promote a greater respect for life and an understanding of the dignity of the human person and the rights and responsibilities of all individuals
  • To promote and defend in society the family and the dignity of work and workers' rights
  • To provide for the poor and vulnerable

    Stewardship:
    We commit ourselves to serving Saint John Neumann Parish by coordinating those activities which enable each member of our parish to fully utilize their individual gifts of Time, Talent and Treasure.

  • To encourage, recognize and quantify the investment of parishioner's time applied to the growth of the Church, as a gift to God.
  • To increase the involvement and continual engagement of parishioners in the life of the parish.
  • To create an understanding of the ministry opportunities in the parish and increase parishioner's commitment to apply their talents to specific ministries
  • To foster an awareness and charitable spirit in our parishioners of the financial needs of the parish, Archdiocese, and other Catholic charities.

    Facilities and Management:
    We commit ourselves to the proper maintenance, use and expansion of all the facilities and the management of the facilities staff of Saint John Neumann Catholic Parish.

  • To provide well-maintained, adequate, accessible and secure facilities at all times
  • To replace or repair original equipment and facilities
  • To utilize existing facilities to possible limits, and investigate new construction possibilities on existing properties
  • To provide adequate staff to manage all facilities at all times
